Faith Booster

You know how kids get booster shots....they don't just get them once..they keep getting them to build up their immunities to things that are bad for their bodies.
So I was thinking, what about Faith boosters?  We are taught things when we are "young" so to speak, but do we ever get boosters- the strong ones....because we keep getting exposed to "bad things," which in reality can actually be good things for our faith.  But...the Bible does say that "Hope deferred makes the hear sick."  So, here are a few boosters for your faith today!

This really encouraged me this morning-

ARE YOU READY TO FIGHT?
by Gary Wilkerson

Don’t settle for partial victories just because you are weary, frustrated or
feeling helpless. God never stops at half a victory. The moment you feel so
tired you can’t take one more step is often the moment He is about to give
the greatest victory — when the breakthrough is about to come.

The church is not meant to be composed of masses and crowds who want comfort,
pleasure and everything handed to them on a silver platter. The church is meant
to be like “Gideon’s 300,” warriors who say, “God, I know this is going
to be a fight. I know it is going to be wearisome and will even cause tears to
flow but, God, I’m with You in this battle!”

You may feel that you have prayed the last prayer you’re ever going to be
able to pray about the need that is pressing you. You are exhausted but you
must stay in the fight. Don’t stop praying and don’t give up. Yes, it has
been a long day! Nighttime is coming and inside you are saying, “It’s time
for me to sleep.”  But instead God says, “No, no, the fight is just
starting.”

What has happened to the all-night prayer meetings in churches? What has
happened to people waiting on God? What has happened to people who fast and
pray for a breakthrough?

The church was called into battle. It was not begun just to have good services
and a nice building with lights that go off and on during the music. That’s
not why we’re here! We are here to do battle against the gates of hell
because we have a promise that hell will not prevail (Matthew 16:18). We do not
have a promise that it won’t be strenuous or that all we have to do is whisper
and the gates of hell will not prevail. No! There is going to be a battle and
Satan is not going to give up easily — but we have a promise.

It’s going to take a battle! Are you ready to fight?

If you need a double-good faith booster, this teaching that my dear friend, Tina, sent me is exactly what you need!!!  Take 45 minutes, yes, 45 minutes, and sit down and watch, or scrapbook while you listen... or write notes as you listen.  I was up all night several days in a row, had literally a few hours of sleep over several days, and she sent this to me one morning, and I listened to it right away..it was like a fresh hot cup of coffee, or a long night of un-interrupted sleep....it encouraged me and refreshed me so much.  Open your heart, Pray that God opens your eyes, ears in new ways for you to see and hear.

  1. Thanks for posting that. I needed that cleansing after yesterday's sermon by a guest preacher (I have no idea where they got that guy). I never wanted to throw rotten tomatoes so bad as I did yesterday. I know that is terrible but it really seemed like all he was doing was trying to douse everyone's flames of faith and it really made no sense at all. I felt so bad because your mom and sister were there and the more Christian and I thought about it and talked about it the more upset we got. It's funny you posted the David Wilkerson article because your mom and I were talking about him after the service and I thought I needed to look him up when I got home.
Ugh. Well at least the worship and scriptures were edifying.

We are standing with you in faith no matter what others may say.

  2. The Lord sends "boosters" to us in many ways. I have to think David Wilkerson is quite a shot. Went back to church yesterday and several asked about Calli. I gave them an update and told them how the Lord had orchestrated things so we could meet. Even that is a "booster" - don't you think? We keep on praying. Praise the Lord for 15 year-olds!!!

  13. James 5:14,15
Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him/HER, anointing him/HER with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him/HER up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.

Thinking of you always.. Always on my heart.
